New Patient FAQ

What makes Richardson & Lunn different from other dentists?

Many things make our Florence SC dental practice stand out from the competition, but most of all we would say it is probably our dedication to patient comfort, care, and convenience. We are not a corporation, we are your neighbors. You can rest assured that the entire team of oral health care professionals we have on staff are up on the latest dental technologies and techniques and that they are always watching out for your oral wellness and overall health. We truly believe that you’re not healthy, unless your smile’s healthy.

Can you help alleviate my dental anxiety?

Absolutely. Dental anxiety and dental phobia is very common and often keeps patients from visiting their dentist- which can be extremely detrimental to their oral health. Our team offers gentle, comfort-conscious techniques and technologies to make all patients feel at ease during their visit.

How soon can I get a dental appointment?

We do our best to accommodate new patients quickly because often it has been some time since a last dental visit and we want to address your oral health issues right away for you. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, we will do our best to get you in same-day. We work with you and your schedule to plan your next appointment before you leave our office so that you get a time slot that is convenient for you..

How much will my dental treatment cost?

Cost is always directly mirrored by the treatments needed, as well as insurance coverage. Feel free to call our office at any time and provide us with your insurance and other information so that we can come up with a general quote for cost considerations. However, like any medical professional, exams are needed to provide the most accurate cost estimate and treatment plan.

Do you take my dental insurance?

Given that we’re in-network with many major dental insurance companies, chances are we do. We are a Delta Dental Premier provider and accept almost all insurances. We also have Care Credit and Citi Health.

Will you send me a dental appointment reminder?

We all live busy lives, don't we? Lucky for us, in this day and age we have technology to help remind us of our upcoming appointments. We send text or email reminders to you before your appointment and we will also give you a quick confirmation call ahead of said appointment as well. If it has been a while since we last saw you in office, we will send a postcard to let you know it may be time to schedule your next visit.

What are your dental office hours?

Our hours can be found here.

How do you handle fees and payment for dental healthcare?

For your convenience, we offer a number of options for payment. Fees are due at the time of service for most general dental services. The co-payment you’re responsible for can be paid in full with cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) at the time of your appointment. We offer a bookkeeping courtesy of 5% for payment in full by cash or check at the time your treatment plan is scheduled. We also make available no interest or extended payment (up to 48 months) plans through Care Credit. Dental treatment is an excellent investment in your physical and psychological well-being. We are dedicated to helping you keep your smile healthy and beautiful for a lifetime. We’ll help in every way possible to make the most exceptional dentistry affordable.

To help you avoid surprises, we will explain all dental procedures and associated fees clearly and professionally before we begin treatment. It is our policy to make definite financial arrangements with patients before treatment begins. We can discuss these options with you at your first visit.
